Floate ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Floate mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
Profile Data: Subscription tier, quiz responses, and persona preferences you choose within the app.
Body Data: If you use the Body Suite scan feature, photos you submit are processed to generate composition estimates. Photos are not stored on our servers beyond the processing session.
Usage Data: Focus session logs, scheduler entries, vault download history, and squad interactions — stored to power your in-app experience.
Peptide Logs: Dosing protocols and tracking logs you save in the Peptide Calculator, stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your account.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and anonymous analytics to improve app performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Floate app and its features.
To manage your subscription and process payments via Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat.
To personalize your experience based on your tier, persona, and usage patterns.
To send important account-related communications (e.g. subscription status changes).
To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data for product improvements.

3. Payments & Subscriptions

All in-app purchases and subscriptions on iOS are processed by Apple In-App Purchase. We do not store your payment card information. Subscription management is handled through RevenueCat. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID settings.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

Supabase — our database provider, for secure account and profile storage.
RevenueCat — for subscription entitlement management.
Apple — for authentication (Sign in with Apple) and In-App Purchase processing.
Law enforcement — only when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

All third-party service providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide their services to us.

Floate does not use any third-party AI services. All AI-powered features run exclusively on Floate's own servers. No personal data is transmitted to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other external AI provider.

5. Health & Medical Disclaimer

The Floate app, including the Peptide Calculator and Wellness Lens features, provides informational and educational tools only. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new health, nutrition, supplementation, or fitness protocol.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the support address below. Body scan photos are not retained after processing.

7. Children's Privacy

Floate is not intended for children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

Access to the personal data we hold about you.
Correction of inaccurate data.
Deletion of your account and associated data.
Portability of your data in a machine-readable format.
Opt-out of any non-essential data processing.
